Where to start?
There are various measurements and considerations that are required when wearing contact lenses-such as your overall health, allergies, lens material, corneal health, eyelid health, spectacle prescription, and visual needs. For these reasons, a contact lens exam is needed, which is in addition to your routine eye exam. It is important that each lens fits properly, in order to protect your eye’s surface. A contact lens prescription is separate from your glasses prescription and is required for each type of contact lens you might use.
We typically recommend daily disposable lenses for many of our patients who experience dryness or discomfort. Daily disposable contact lenses are the ultimate in convenience, and are one of the healthiest options for your eyes. We also offer bi-weekly, monthly, rigid gas permeable and scleral lenses. Your optometrist will determine which lens is the best option for you.
Contact Lenses and Your Eye Health
It is always our goal to advise you on the best options for your individual vision needs. If you are new to contact lens wear or if you need a refresher in contact lens techniques, we have a dedicated contact lens specialist who will offer one-on-one education, so you can comfortably and safely insert, remove, and care for your contact lenses.
